Dickens on the Strand is the annual celebration where Strand Street in Downtown Galveston is transformed into Victorian London. Santa Hustle Half Marathon and 5K

For something a little lighthearted for your holiday family pic consider getting it taken during the Santa Hustle Half Marathon and 5K. This is Galveston’s yearly 5K race taking place just before Christmas. Thousands of participants dressed up as Santa will be in the crowd giving it a lively feel. The magical experience of the race is further complimented by outrageous holiday decorations and live festive music so everyone even those not running can enjoy the event. Get a family picture before or after the race (depending how sweaty you want to look!) in your best Santa attire. Registration for either race is required beforehand to ensure you a spot on race day. This year’s Santa Hustle Half Marathon and 5K will take place on December 22^nd and is a great spot for the lighthearted holiday family photo.
