Here is how you can celebrate the 4th of July in Galveston with us this year:

4th of July Parade

There is no better way to kick start your 4th of July holiday than with an exciting parade. The residents of Galveston know that the 4th of July has not kicked off until the start of the 4th of July Parade. This year’s parade starts at 22nd Street and Ave P. You can expect a glittering parade that marches down the Seawall before arriving at 45th Street. Expect to see plenty of locals dressed up in their best patriotic attire, decorated floats, and much more. You can also participate in the parade by registering with the city beforehand. The 4th of July Parade takes place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM along Seawall Blvd.

Fireworks Over the Gulf

After the parade has finished it will be dusk bringing in the night sky. Everyone knows that you have to close out the 4th of July with a stunning fireworks show and the one in Galveston does not disappoint. Come experience the Fireworks Over the Gulf after you have enjoyed the parade down Seawall Blvd. As the name suggests you will be able to see the fireworks over the gulf. This stunning show shoots off over the water so the lights can reflect off the surface making for an incredible sight. You can easily see the fireworks from anywhere along the Seawall. Make sure to get to your spot early as the fireworks show is always popular. Bring a lawn chair and some snacks and enjoy the show!
