Located at 1601 NASA Parkway, Space Center Houston is an out-of-this-world experience for visitors of all ages. It’s a top area attraction with good reason and a stop you certainly won’t forget while you’re in town. Space Center Houston is a destination where the past and future of spaceflight are showcased, and guests can explore a stunning array of space artifacts on-site. The Space Center Houston has a massive collection of moon rocks on display alongside an impressive 400 space artifacts in total that tell the story of incredible space adventures.  One of the must-see attractions within Space Center Houston is Independence Plaza which is sponsored by Boeing. This full shuttle replica is mounted on a shutter carrier aircraft and is open to visitors who are looking for an up-close look at the interior of these space-focused vehicles. Another activity to be sure to add to a Space Center Houston itinerary is a NASA tram tour. This experience takes visitors to the NASA Johnson Space Center and offers up a behind-the-scenes look at the logistics behind human space exploration.  

Additional On-Site Activities to Enjoy 

It’s easy for guests to customize their time at Space Center Houston. The center offers access to Explorer Camps as well as the chance to meet an astronaut with early booking. Space Center Houston also hosts a Mission Mars exhibit that gives visitors a chance to experience a Martian sunset in virtual reality. The simulated Orion capsule offers up the texture of rock cliffs on the red planet, making for a truly spectacular experience from start to finish. Whether guests are visiting Mission Control, exploring the training center, or heading underwater to see what it takes to train to be an astronaut, Space Center Houston is a must-visit destination open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.
